The premises consist of a street front retail space and showroom and a photographic laboratory at the back. The project has been built around the concept of a grey box, being a reference to black/white photography, with just a few splashes of colour achieved by means of plexiglas panels remindful of lighting gels. The shiny brightness of the stainless steel furnishings (all custom made, to designs by the practice, by the Officine Bruschini workshop at Giulianello), the transparent glass shelving and coloured plexiglas panels combine to create ever-changing images, evocative of the superimpositions created in the darkroom.
